Ciaran Conlon
Before joining Microsoft in 2018 Ciarán previously held research and teaching positions in Economics in University College Dublin (UCD), worked as a Research Economist with Ireland’s largest trade association before acting as Spokesman and Adviser to former Taoiseach, Enda Kenny and as Policy Adviser to Richard Bruton during his period as Enterprise Minister. After finishing working in government he became a Company Director with a small Irish consultancy firm.
In Microsoft Ciaran supports the policy work and government outreach work of Microsoft in Ireland and Brussels and, since 2023, also leads an EMEA team on Data Centre policy matters.
He has a Master’s degree in Economics from UCD, Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, a postgraduate Diploma in Strategy, Innovation and Change from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and a Certificate in Digital Policy Studies from UCD.
