Dr. Laura Bambrick

Head of Social Policy and Employment Affairs, Irish Congress of Trade Unions.

Laura is a senior trade union official in the Irish Congress of Trade Unions with responsibility for protecting and improving workers’ rights, living standards and quality of life.

She is the worker representative on a number of national and European advisory bodies, including the LEEF working groups on employment rights, childcare and pensions; the Expert Group of Future Skills Needs; the EU Commission’s European Social Fund and the European Trade Union Confederation steering committees on AI and social protection.

Laura holds a BA in Social Policy from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc and PhD in Social Policy from the University of Oxford.
